Noida: Over 50 home buyers braving 40-degree temperature Greater Noida West A regular sit-in protest was held at Murti Chowk on Sunday against the pending registries. The strike is now in its 25th week.

“We protest tirelessly every Sunday and question the government when the registry will happen. When will we get our house? Despite several meetings and assurances from MLAs, MPs and even the Chief Minister, the issue of home buyers today remains unresolved.” said Abhishek Kumar, president of the New Era Flat Owners Welfare Association (NEFOWA).

Residents said that backing down or calling off the protest is no longer an option as more home buyers from other societies are joining. some of these include defense adela, Ajnara Homes, Casa Greens 1, Eco Village 12 & 3, RCT Residency Park, Sanskriti, Aqua Garden, Apex Golf Avenue, elegant villeAishwaryam Gaur City 2, Devika Gold Homes etc.

Mihir Gautam, a resident who has been protesting every Sunday, said, “The government has failed to understand the seriousness of the concerns of home buyers.”

Registry of over 60,000 home buyers in over 20 societies Greater Noida West is long overdue. Everyone is unanimous that this is going to be their way of life until the registration of their houses starts and there is no way out for those who have been waiting for 13 years.
