Noida: The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDANotice has been issued to the developers of white orchid society In Gaur City 2Sector 16C, for alleged illegal construction and unauthorized commercial activities in two flats.
The authority has directed the developer to immediately stop the unauthorized construction and commercial activities and submit a written explanation regarding the matter.
Failure to furnish the explanation within the stipulated time will be treated as a violation of the rules of the Authority, which will lead to the assumption that the builder has no response. In such a case, legal action will be taken against the builder as per the rules,” read the GNIDA notice dated June 26 that was served to the builder.
Following a complaint from a resident, the authority’s mobile squad inspected the site, which confirmed the presence of unauthorized construction and commercial activities in two flats on the first floor of Tower 2 in the society.
The squad’s report highlighted that a shop below the two adjacent flats was connected to them through an iron ladder, which was made by cutting through the roof of the shop. The report also verified that both the flats had been mixed and the stairs were found locked in a cabin. Unauthorized shops were constructed by the builders on the green area to the left of the commercial shop.
Dheeraj Ratwal, the owner of a shop next to this alleged illegal construction, said that the flat was sold around a year back to a person who later indulged in illegal activities.
Rakesh Sharma, Director, Town Park Buildcon Pvt Ltd, the company that developed the society, refused to comment on the matter.
The owners of flats where unauthorized commercial activities were going on also did not respond to calls.
