New Delhi: The D.D.A Officials said a housing scheme launched on Friday on first-come-first-served basis will include 5,500 flats across categories at various locations in Delhi.

The move is in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of providing affordable housing for all and Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena’s “consistent guidance” to qualitatively enhance and enhance the housing. The highest decision-making body of the DDA on June 14 approved the launch of the fourth phase of the urban body’s online first-come-first-served housing scheme with the facility to book flats in preferred locality by paying a token amount.

It said, “DDA today launched the housing scheme on first-come-first-served basis for more than 5,500 flats across all categories at various locations in the national capital.”

Under the scheme, 1-BHK flats are being offered at Narela, Siraspur, Rohini, Loknayak Puram; 2-BHK flats in Narela and Dwarka; and 3-BHK flats in Jasola.

The estimated range of disposal cost for 3-BHK flats is Rs 2.08 crore to Rs 2.18 crore. The range of 2-BHK flats ranges from Rs 1 crore in Narela to Rs 1.23 crore to Rs 1.33 crore in Dwarka. As per information shared by the DDA, the price of 1-BHK flats ranges from Rs 9.89 lakh in Narela to Rs 26.98 lakh to Rs 28.47 lakh in Loknayak Puram.

The booking amount for 1-BHK flat is Rs 50,000 for applicants from economically weaker sections and Rs 1 lakh for general category, Rs 4 lakh for 2-BHK flat and Rs 10 lakh for 3-BHK flat.

Officials said that the registration for the flats started from 5 pm on June 30, while the booking would be available from 12 noon on July 10.

It added that connectivity and safety measures have been improved in Narela, while several infrastructure projects are also coming up in the sub-city which will make it attractive for home buyers.

According to officials, the price of most 1-BHK flats was prevailing at the time of the Special Housing Scheme, 2021, and the price of others was introduced in 2022-23.

The housing rules have also been amended so that the eligibility criteria will no longer be applicable to persons having a residential plot/constructed house of more than 67 square meters cumulatively in Delhi. This, the DDA said, means that no person shall be debarred from the benefits of the scheme on the ground that he owns any land or building in Delhi in his own name or in the name of his family members.

Aspirants can check online relevant details like size of flat, location of pocket, cost, layout plan of flat or pocket. It states that these flats are in a ready-to-move-in condition.

The maximum number of flats offered in this scheme are in Narela where several measures have been taken by the DDA. To improve security, Delhi Police has been allotted land for police stations, while connectivity through DTC buses has been improved, officials said.

A metro line is also proposed in the area. Adequate steps have been taken to facilitate education and health care facilities by allotting land for schools and a dispensary to the Government of Delhi. He said that six higher secondary schools were to be constructed while a sports complex was also being developed.
