The project consolidates seven fragmented green areas in Ashok Vihar Phase-II to develop a large park spread over approximately 33 acres. Its foundation stone was laid by Saxena on 29 December 2022.

“The project proposes to develop an environmental asset in the form of a public park. The park will act as an integrated center where city dwellers and tourists will be provided with an opportunity to interact with nature through the associated activities of the plant nursery. Vermi-composting, apiculture and pottery are being demonstrated in the park with special emphasis on learning about hydroponic farming,” the official said.

The central area of ​​the project is designed as a public park with interactive sculptures in the main spaces and a multi-purpose ground with a subtle introduction of mythical tree species.

It will also feature a standing restaurant that will remain open after park closing hours.

He said an independent approach would connect the restaurant area to the park.
