Jaipur: Rajasthan Housing Board like eyeing the small towns of the state Bhinder, slumber And Nimbahenga to start residential projects this year.

“We had earlier launched an app through which we are monitoring the demands for housing across all towns and cities, especially smaller towns. Based on this demand, we had selected some small towns where we will implement residential projects this year,” said Housing Commissioner Pawan Arora.

The upcoming projects, which Dhariwal launched at his residence on Wednesday morning, will be implemented in 17 cities in 14 districts of the state this year. In addition, a shopping complex with 132 showrooms will be built in Jaipur’s Pratap Nagar.

While the housing board has evenly distributed these 4,500 housing units across various categories ranging from EWS to HIG, it is all set to construct upmarket homes such as independent villas and complexes with 3BHK and 4BHK flats in Jaipur.

“These projects will have furnished and ready-to-move-in flats. Like any other posh complex, they will have facilities like security, club house and various forms of entertainment. While villas will be of two sizes (135 sq m and 105 sq m), and 4BHK flats will measure 231.8 sq m, 3BHK flats will be of three sizes – 231.8 sq m, 176.58 sq m and 144.86 sq m. Arora said.

While two types of villas will cost approximately between Rs 1.35 crore to Rs 1.59 crore, 4BHK flats will cost around Rs 1.2 crore, and three types of 3BHK flats will cost around Rs 98 lakh, 76 lakh and 61 lakh respectively.

Dhariwal said that the State Housing Board has managed to establish itself as financially self-sufficient in the last four years.

“There was a time when the chief minister asked to shut down this department. But from there the Housing Board has managed to become financially self-sufficient in the last four years. This is a big achievement,” said the minister.
