Gurugram: Haryana Real Estate regulator Authority (HRERA), Gurugram has issued an arrest warrant against the directors of the real estate firm Shree Vardhman Infrahome Non-handing over of the possession of the unit to the allottee by the private limited.
HRERA said in an official statement that the Court of Adjudicating Officer or AO issued the warrant on February 7 after hearing the complaints of the allottees.
“It is submitted by the learned counsel for the decree holder allottee that despite the decree under execution no possession of the unit has been handed over to his client. And the counsel for the allottee has requested the court to issue arrest warrant against the directors Shree Vardhman Infrahome Pvt Ltd,” the order stated.
The AO Court has allowed the directors to be arrested and produced before the court on or before March 28, the next date of hearing.
The court had earlier issued show cause notices to the directors of Shree Vardhman Infrahome in connection with the matter.
“But despite service of notices, the directors have not filed any reply,” the order said.
The court expressed its concern over the “negligent approach” of the firm in complying with the orders of the regulatory authority.
“Earlier, on December 6, 2022, an undertaking was given on behalf of the respondent real estate company, Mr. Vardhman Infrahome, that the possession of the said unit would be handed over to the allottee within a period of 15 days. But the possession has not been handed over. Today to the allottee,” the court said in its order.
