Gurugram: A group of home buyers Expressway Towers Met senior town planner in Sector 109 on Monday and demanded action against the developer for delay in completing the housing project.
The affordable housing project was launched in 2017 by Ocean Seven Buildtech Private Limited (OSB) and the buyers were promised the possession in 2021. The deadline was extended to 2023 in view of the pandemic.
However, the allottees told senior town planner Sanjeev Mann that “at present, no work is going on at the site and there is little chance of the project being completed within the time frame”.
The DTCP has called the developer for a meeting with home buyers on Tuesday and warned of strict action as per law against the realtor for delay in delivery of the project.
One of the homebuyers, Ajay Kumar, said, “We fear that the developer may walk away from the project after cheating 1,089 buyers. The builder has charged us 100% of the flat price and stopped construction three years ago.” We request DTCP, h-rareChief Minister’s Office, and the police to intervene.
The developer could not be contacted despite repeated attempts by TOI.
