Guwahati: State governments in the region are all set to meet the new deadline of March 2024 to provide houses to the rural poor under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G).

According to a written reply tabled in the Lok Sabha by Union Minister of State for Rural Development Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti on Tuesday, about 85% of the 2.49 crore houses sanctioned by various states and union territories under the PMAY-G scheme have been completed at the national level. has been taken. 50% to 80% of the approved houses are incomplete in the Northeast.
