Chennai: Chief Minister MK Stalin inaugurated 4,644 flats constructed by Tamil Nadu Urban Housing Development Board (TNUHDB) on Wednesday through video conferencing from the secretariat in 8 districts across the state at a cost of 405.9 crores. He also gave orders for allotment to 4500 beneficiaries.
Work orders worth ₹ 237.3 crore were issued to 11300 beneficiaries at the rate of ₹ 2.10 lakh under the Beneficiary Leadership Development Scheme. Sale deeds of plots and houses were issued to 350 beneficiaries.
Each house is 400 square feet and has a multi-purpose room, bedroom, kitchen and toilet. All residential The campus is equipped with road facilities, drinking water, sewage disposal, children’s park and rain water harvesting structures.
This year, the CM has inaugurated over 3,000 houses in different parts of the city. TNUHDB is planning to complete 5,000 more houses in the next three months.
Housing and Urban Development Minister S Muthusamy, Apoorva, Principal Secretary, Housing and Urban Development Department and Govind RaoMD, Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board participated in the event.
