Since MUDA is not a body dedicated to making profits, the sites will be sold at reasonable rates,” said Mizar.
Noting the huge size of the upcoming layout at Chelyaru, the Muda chief said the project was still in its infancy, and the authorities were yet to finalize the plan for the size of the layout. Mizar pointed out that, during his tenure at the helm of Muda, work was done on the rejuvenation of 25 lakes, of which 12 have already found new life. He further said that 97 parks spread across the four assembly constituencies of the coastal city are being upgraded. Mizar said, “With Mangaluru Smart City Limited, Muda Service is making concerted efforts to develop the bus stand.”
He said that there are plans to convert Kotara and Kadri Park into major local attractions. The Muda chief said, “In the first phase of the project aimed at upgrading Kadri Park, we want to develop a fountain and revive the lake.”
