Kanpur: Luck smiled on 340 citizens of Kanpur on Monday when they were declared lucky winners of a lottery at a function organized for the economically weaker section. Kanpur Development Authority ,
for 371 plots for economically weaker sections of the society, KDA Candidates were asked to submit the duly filled forms through axis Bank,
According to Public Relations Officer SB Rai, the KDA had received about 825 applications for 371 plots.
After scrutiny, 797 forms were found fit for the lottery. On the instructions of KDA Vice Chairman Arvind Singh, a lottery was organized for plot allotment in the KDA auditorium.
Earlier, KDA Secretary Gudakesh Sharma informed about the process of lottery by lighting the lamp. He told the candidates that after completing all the formalities they can get the possession of the plot.
