Gurugram: real estate regulator authority (Wrong) has been awarded 60 days civil imprisonment in Gurugram, Haryana ILD the creator salman akbar in contempt case.
Adjudicating Officer (AO) Rajendra Kumar pronounces sentence in the case of Garima Gupta Vs Bharti ILD Millennium private Limited.
“You are authorized to detain Salman Akbar in civil confinement for 60 days and produce him before the AO on the 60th day of his custody,” the order said.
Earlier on October 31, the AO court had issued an arrest warrant for Salman Akbar to be produced on or before December 21, 2022.
The RERA Court had ordered ILD Millennium Pvt Ltd to pay an amount of Rs 27,30,376 to the complainant, but the same was not paid.
The directors of the company were then asked to file an affidavit stating the particulars of their assets to satisfy the decree, but despite being given an opportunity they failed to reply for willful disobedience of the orders of the adjudicating officer.
The matter dates back to January 2013, when complainant Garima Gupta had booked a unit ILD Spire GreensSector 37 and executed an agreement.
The promoter was supposed to hand over the possession in July 2016, but failed to do so.
Later, the allottee filed a complaint in the RERA court in November 2018, alleging that the promoter delayed the possession.
The authority had passed an order in favor of the aggrieved allottee, asking the builder to pay interest for every month of delay on the amount paid by the complainant, before the promoter hands over the actual possession of the unit. Date started. failed to comply.
