Thiruvananthapuram: In connection with the second anniversary of the State Government, under the 100-day program, Education Minister Dr. V Shivankutty He handed over the keys of the houses completed under the Jeevan Sampoorna Parpeedam scheme at a function held at Chemmakuzhi in Kattakada.

A total of 1,379 houses have been built in various local government bodies of the district under the LIFE project.

Under the Life 2020 scheme, the target is to complete the construction of houses for 8,703 beneficiaries in the financial year 2023-24.

So far, 34,745 houses, 23,841 houses in gram panchayats and 10,904 houses in municipal corporations have been completed under various schemes in the district.

Around 3,215 people, including 1,364 Scheduled Castes, 417 Scheduled Tribes and 511 fishermen community, have signed the contract, of which 1,033 houses have been completed. Of the online applications for Life 2020, 3,549 have signed contracts, while construction of houses for 29 has been completed.
