Ranchi: The Jharkhand State Housing Board ,jshb) on Tuesday evicted illegal occupants from 10 houses near his Sahajanand Chowk Under Argora police station area

The operation was carried out under the supervision of Argora Magistrate Arvind Kumar Ojha With the help of the police.

The illegal occupants included former employees of the board and tenants whose agreement has expired.

Due process including issue of notice to the occupants and passing of order by a competent authority was followed before evicting the occupants. The eviction process took several years, with some cases dating back as far as 2009.

Sources said a similar drive would be launched in the coming days as a total of 55 houses of the board have to be vacated.
