After nine warrants, MahaRERA recovers Rs 9 cr from five developers, ET Real Estate

Mumbai: Around Rs 9 crore, which was to be received as compensation to home buyers and refund from five developers, was recovered without going through the auction process. Maharera Warrants were issued for this. MahaRERA had issued nine warrants in Mumbai city, suburbs and Pune The district has to recover Rs 8.72 crore.

According to MahaRERA officials, nine warrants were issued after developers failed to pay refunds or compensation. However, in some cases, the developers deposited the amount to be paid to the home buyers with the district collectorate and in some cases, the builder paid the home buyers directly and settled the complaints.

Samruddhi Developers And Wondervalue Realtywho are based in Mumbai together paid Rs 6.46 crore. Of this, Wondervalue Realty paid Rs 6.26 crore to a client.

In Mumbai Suburban District, Reliance Enterprises And Ruchi Priya Developers together paid an amount of Rs 1.84 crore, out of which Reliance Enterprises paid an amount of Rs 1.78 crore to the individual home buyer.

In Pune district, Darode Jog Homes Gave a compensation of about Rs 42 lakh to a home buyer. MahaRERA is approaching various district collectors across the country for execution of recovery warrants issued by the housing regulator. MahaRERA has so far issued 1,015 warrants for recovery of damages amounting to Rs 623.30 crore.
