New Delhi: Over 650 flats have been booked under a housing scheme of Delhi Development Authority ,D.D.A) which was launched on June 30, officials said on Monday. DDA announced late evening 2-BHK flats Dwarka The bookings were completely sold out within hours of opening on Monday, and flats in Narela and Rohini were receiving “huge demand” from the public.
He told in the evening that ever since the booking window on the DDA website was opened from 12 noon on Monday, the number of hits on the website has crossed the mark of 13 lakhs.
The DDA on June 30 launched a housing scheme on first-come-first-served (FCFS) basis which will include 5,500 flats across categories at various locations in Delhi.
The booking of flats started from 12 noon on 10th July. This scheme has received good response from the public.
A senior official said that the website received over 11 lakh hits till 5.30 pm, which increased to over 17 lakh by late night.
He told that till 8.30 pm more than 650 flats had been booked.
These include 300 flats in Rohini, over 200 flats in Narela while all 50 flats in Dwarka were completely sold out. Other places like Jasola, Siraspur and Loknayak Puram are getting encouraging response, the official said.
Under the scheme, 1-BHK flats are being offered at Narela, Siraspur, Rohini, Loknayak Puram; 2-BHK flats in Narela and Dwarka; and 3-BHK flats in Jasola.
Officials said the DDA will issue demand-cum-allotment letters online within 24 hours to all those who have booked flats.
The registration and booking of the scheme is underway and people can book flats of their choice online through the DDA website.
Officials said the DDA website faced heavy traffic in the first six hours as the hits reached over 11 lakh since the opening of bookings under FCFS Phase-IV. He said that to help the general public in booking flats, the DDA is increasing the capacity of the servers to handle the increase in traffic.
