Mumbai: The state cabinet on Wednesday approved a proposal to rehabilitate 257 commercial stalls at all three BDD on campus Worli, Naigaon and NM Joshi Marg.
According to a government press release, stall owners must have at least three of the prescribed six documents such as fine receipts BMCNotice issued by civic body and collector, notice for survey, fine receipt or regularization slip from director or administrator of Mumbai Development Department Chawl.
The project will provide free flats of 500 sq ft to 15,584 tenants. A competent authority will decide on the eligibility of pre-2000 stall structures for rehabilitation.
