Beneficiaries asked to clear housing dues, Real Estate News, ET Real Estate

Vadodara: The Vadodara Municipal Corporation ,vmc) has asked the beneficiaries of various housing schemes in the city to clear the arrears of installments for the houses given to them.

For thousands of houses built across the city under various projects over the years, the beneficiaries have not been able to clear their pending dues.

The civic body on Thursday issued a public notice to the beneficiaries asking them to pay the outstanding amount.

The notice issued on Thursday pertains to 24 different housing schemes where money has not been deposited by the beneficiaries. Sources said the total dues for these schemes are over Rs 100 crore. The schemes for which notices were brought on Thursday include 22 developed under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission and two under the Rajiv Awas Yojana.

VMC will give an opportunity to the beneficiaries to have their say from 13th to 16th June. It has set June 30 as the deadline for the beneficiaries to deposit their pending amount. It has been said that after this the allotment of houses will be canceled if the money is not received.
