Ahmedabad: The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation Issued a public notice to the owners of dangerous buildings to get their houses or buildings repaired at the earliest.
The Corporation clarified that such buildings should not be used without repairs. The corporation said that all the buildings, including slum quarters, staff quarters or government buildings, have to be repaired by the occupiers.
Corporation said that under Gujarat Provincial Municipal Corporation Act and the Comprehensive Development Control Regulations 2017, the responsibility for the repair of such buildings rests with the person in possession of the same.
The corporation clarified that any damage caused to nearby properties would also be the responsibility of such owners.
The corporation issues such notices to people whose houses or buildings are considered dangerous just before the Rath Yatra and the monsoon.
