Trichy: Tamil Nadu Housing Board ,tnhb) has completed work on a high-rise residential project at a cost of 28.2 crores varagneri near Trichy-Chennai National Highway,
The flats constructed under the self-finance scheme will be sold to the general public at approximately Rs 4,800 per sq ft. The application for booking a flat will be issued soon by the Housing Board.
Officials said advertisements inviting the public to apply for the High Income Group (HIG) flats would be published in newspapers shortly. The high-rise (18.3 m height) consists of 56 housing units located on 1.71 acres of the site, and each housing unit has three bedrooms. The floor space in the 14-storey block ranges from 1,517 sq ft to 1,571 sq ft.
“The construction work was completed, and the final phase of commissioning work is underway. If more applications are received than the housing units available for sale, the allotment will be done through a draw of lots,” said an official source. The cost of premium housing units is likely to cross Rs 70 lakh per unit.
Officials said the project was approved on the basis of a demand assessment study, which found significant demand for high-end residential flats varagneriBecause it is near the Chennai-Trichy and Trichy-Thanjavur National Highways.
The project has amenities including covered car parking, multiple lifts, power backup, green space for children and CCTV surveillance system.
Ahead, tnhb High-rise towers are proposed to be constructed at Varganeri separately for the middle-income and low-income categories, officials said.
