ChandigarhIt was another flop show for : Chandigarh Housing Board ,chb), only two residential properties are receiving successful bidders out of 123 properties put up for auction – 35 residential freehold and 88 commercial leasehold – which concluded on Wednesday.
Bidding started on May 11.
Two freehold residential units were sold for Rs 1.26 crore against the total reserve price of Rs 1.23 crore. A two bedroom flat in Sector 51A was auctioned for Rs 98.50 lakh against the reserve price of Rs 95.34 lakh. An EWS unit in Sector 26 was auctioned for Rs 28.35 lakh against the reserve price of Rs 28.25 lakh.
Only six of the 128 properties up for auction had buyers in the auction held on April 25. chb The auction fetched Rs 3.84 crore against the reserve price of Rs 3.70 crore.
Of the 38 residential freehold properties, four were sold. A two-bedroom apartment in Sector 51A was found at Rs 98 lakh against the reserve price of Rs 92 lakh. One and two bedroom apartments in the sector fetched Rs 98 lakh against the reserve price of Rs 95 lakh.
There were 90 commercial properties available on a lease basis, but only two were sold.
In the auction that concluded on March 7, the CHB had sold 10 properties out of 136 properties.
Eight out of 44 residential freehold properties were successfully auctioned. Out of the 92 commercial leasehold properties offered, only two properties were bid for. CHB earned Rs 5.19 crore in the auction
In the residential segment, the highest price was fetched by a two-bedroom unit in Sector 51-A, which received bids of Rs 1 crore against the reserve price of Rs 95 lakh. The EWS housing unit at Sector 38W was the cheapest property with a successful bid of Rs 25.49 lakh against the reserve price of Rs 25.47 lakh.
In the February auction, out of 140 units put up for auction, only nine units found bidders. In December last year, CHB had managed to sell only one out of 92 commercial leasehold properties.
