Gurugram: One day after Deputy Commissioner Nishant Yadav issued an order asking the residents of towers E and F Chintel Paradiso The flat owner reached his office on Tuesday seeking more time to vacate the premises within 15 days.
When Yadav was not available in the office, the flat owners met the Additional Deputy Commissioner Hitesh Meena, They demanded at least four months to vacate the flat and an alternative house whose rent would be borne by the developer.
Yadav had on Monday appointed District Town Planner (Enforcement) Manish Yadav as the nodal officer to ensure that the flats in Towers E and F are vacated within 15 days and the possession is handed over to the developer.
The flat owners said that the order passed under the Disaster Management Act was not in their favor. “If we are forced to vacate the premises without compensation, we will face a tough time just like the Tower D residents. Compensation has not been fixed even after a year has passed. They further said that they will not hand over the possession to the developer, but will keep the keys with them till the compensation is decided.
Administration officials assured the owners that their demands would be discussed in the next meeting on May 18, which would also be attended by officials from the Town and Country Planning department, police and the developer.
“It has become necessary that towers E and F be vacated immediately to avoid any loss of life and property. Any person violating this order will be punished under IPC section,” the DC order said. 188, Section 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act and action may be taken as per other legal provisions.
