The DTCP had also issued notices to the landlords of the Sector 104 society, following complaints by residents of the society that some balconies and walls of other apartments in Tower 1 – where this change has been made – have developed some cracks. Residents expressed apprehension about such a change in the 18-storey tower. He cited the vertical collapse of flats in a tower in Chintel Paradiso last year.

The DTP also ordered to stop the construction and restore the flats to the original approved plan.

A DTCP official confirmed that some cracks were noticed in other apartments during the inspection.
About 25 families currently live in Tower 1. There are about 1,400 flats in the society, in which a total of 600 families are living. The construction of the apartment complex began in 2015 and home buyers started coming in from 2019.

“We have not been informed about these ongoing changes, and whether the developer is doing it or the flat owner,” a resident of the tower told TOI on Thursday.
