Gurugram: on buyers Renuka Ashiyara Protest against the developer in Sector 37C on Sunday over delay in delivery of flats even after five years. The buyers alleged that the work at the site has been going slow for the last 11 months.
The project was started in 2018 and was to be delivered by January 2023, but only 63% work has been completed so far. Buyers complained that most of them have already paid 100% of their amount.
Complaints have been made to the concerned authorities many times, but the buyers have not got any relief yet.
“During the last two years, the developer has changed the timeline five times to complete the project. We had several meetings DTCPBut the developer is not able to fulfill his promise. Till now only 63 percent work has been completed and now only 60-70 laborers are working here. “With the current pace, there is no hope of getting our house anytime soon,” said Gautam Maity, president of Ashiyara Society, a homebuyers association.
There are 716 flats in Phase One and 276 in Phase Two.
Homebuyers also raised the issue of substandard quality and alleged that the developer was not following the approved layout and specifications.
“We are paying EMI and rent which is creating a financial burden on us. We have raised several issues with the quality of construction, but no action has been taken. We doubt that the developer will be able to deliver flats this year as well. Amrit Kumar, general secretary of the Homebuyers Association, said.
Meanwhile, the representative of the developer has agreed that there has been some delay in the delivery of the project.
“The construction has been delayed due to the lockdown due to the pandemic and restrictions on construction due to high pollution levels, we have already submitted a detailed plan to the concerned department,” the representative said.
