Nirmal Lifestyle director arrested for ‘cheating’ flat buyers, ET Real Estate

Mumbai, Mumbai The Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) of the police has arrested the developers. Dharmesh Jain And Rajeev Jain Of Nirmal Lifestyle Officials said on Thursday that 34 home buyers were allegedly duped by not giving flats after taking money.

The duo was accused of duping buyers who had bought flats in three projects – Olympia, Panorama and Spirit – worth over Rs 11 crore.

After the arrest, both were produced in the court, from where they were sent to police custody till May 3.

The accused allegedly took money for booking in 2011 and promised to hand over the flats in 2017.

But the buyers reportedly did not get the possession of the flats, a police officer said. Initially a complaint was lodged at Mulund police station. Later it was handed over to EOW for investigation.
