ChennaiThe Income Tax Department raided the premises of a well-known real estate firm in Tamil Nadu on Monday. G Square, official sources said. Searches were conducted at various places in the State including Chennai, Coimbatore And Tiruchirappallisources said.

Searches were also reportedly conducted at the Karnataka and Telangana offices of the real estate firm.
In a statement, G Square said, “Over the past few months, our organization has faced undue harassment from multiple fronts through baseless allegations with no evidence whatsoever.
“Even though this has been an incredibly challenging time for us, we are grateful that measures are now being taken to validate the validity of these claims. We take this opportunity to emphatically state that none of these allegations Not the truth.” the company said.

During this, Tamil Nadu Housing and Urban Development Minister S Muthusamy said no special concession has been given to G Square.
