Jaipur: Many important proposals including lease distribution in slums and Rajasthan Rajasthan The Law Repeal Bill, 2023 was approved in the cabinet meeting chaired by the Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot at his residence on Wednesday
Apart from the slums surveyed in 2004 in the state’s urban areas, new slums that came up before December 2021 will be regularized after a survey, the cabinet decided. After regularisation, basic amenities like roads, drains, electricity and drinking water will be provided in the slums.
In an important decision for the people living in multi-storey buildings, the cabinet has approved the draft policy proposed by the Public Health Engineering Department for providing water connections to multi-storey buildings. The policy is expected to encourage water conservation, rainwater harvesting, waste water recycling and reuse systems.
The cabinet also approved the proposal to amend the Land Allotment Policy, 2015 for urban areas of the state. The amendment will facilitate allotment of land at concessional rates for construction of hostels for students from different communities.
The proposal to repeal 133 obsolete and unnecessary laws in the state also got the approval of the cabinet. The cabinet approved it after reviewing the existing laws Rajasthan Rajasthan The Law Repeal Bill, 2023. These include 33 Principal Acts, including the Appropriation Acts, and 100 Amendment Acts, which include state amendments made to Central Acts.
The cabinet also amended the notification dated November 21, 2019 regarding service rules on reservation of outstanding sportspersons. Rajasthan Madrassa Education Assistant Subordinate Services Rules, 2013; Rajasthan Specific Area Subordinate, Ministerial and Class IV Services (Recruitment and Other Conditions of Service) Rules, 2014; And the Rajasthan School Assistant Subordinate Services Rules, 2015 have been incorporated in the notification.
