Noida: The Noida Authority appointed a consultant to visit sports city projects in different sectors, check whether facilities exist and submit status reports. The officials met the consultant team on Monday and visited the project site to inspect the ongoing construction and development works.

CEO Ritu Maheshwari said, “We have hired an agency that will assist us in planning, identifying gaps and needing remedies to complete the sports facilities at the project site. Around 15,000 homebuyers, who have possession of flats in the project, are still awaiting registry of their units as the developers have failed to pay dues of over Rs 8,200 crore to the authority and complete various sports projects. have failed.

The 11 sports facilities proposed to be developed include construction of a golf course (nine holes) at a cost of Rs 40 crore, a multipurpose sports ground, tennis centre, swimming pool, indoor multipurpose stadium (gymnastics, badminton, table tennis, etc.) are included. basketball, volleyball and rock climbing) and a cricket academy among others.
