Noida: The Noida Authority said on Friday that it has sealed three under-construction residential towers of a group housing project in the city over unpaid dues of Rs 182 crore by the developer.
Officer on Special Duty (Group Housing) Prasoon Dwivedi said notices have been issued to the real estate developer Sunworld Residence Pvt. Ltd. in respect of the amount due in November and December 2022, which is yet to be paid till date.
“Pursuant thereto, the under-construction Towers 7, 8 and 9 at Plot GH-01/C have been allotted Sunworld Residency Sector 168 was sealed by the Noida Authority on Friday,” said Dwivedi.
He said the developer was allotted land in August 2010 and a total of 10 towers were sanctioned, out of which seven have been constructed so far while three are under construction.
There are 972 sanctioned flats in the entire project. The OSD said the developer owed Rs 182 crore in dues to the Noida Authority.
Noida Authority has warned of strict action against developers over pending dues.
