RWAs meet authority officials over pending civic issues in Noida

Noida: More than 20 RWAs residential Areas under the umbrella body of the Federation of Noida Residents Welfare Association ,phonerwa) held a second LOT meeting with Noida Authority Officers of Karyakarta Mandal 6 to 10 discussed the pending civic issues of their areas on Tuesday late evening.

The issues discussed included leveling of drains, problem of encroachment, insects on trees, lack of development of green belt, installation of new swings in parks and direction boards.

The request was brought for the construction of markets in Sector 112 and 135. Other issues raised during the meeting included improper drainage level, lack of gardening work, cleanliness and maintenance of green belt and plants etc. With the increasing amount of dry leaves left untreated in many areas and of late, residents complain about rampant mosquito menace as well as insects like flies, moths etc.

Phonarwa president Yogendra Sharma and general secretary KK Jain urged the officials to expedite all pending civic works. On the other hand, Deputy General Manager of Noida Authority Shripal Bhati said that on the basis of problems received from RWA, development work is being done in many sectors. He also assured that action will be taken on the issues raised at the earliest.

To solve the problem of insects growing on the trees, Noida Authority’s Deputy Director Horticulture Department Rajendra Singh informed that, ‘Soon the trees will be sprayed with medicine. Along with this, new swings will also be installed in the parks.

Earlier last Tuesday a meeting of more than 30 RWAs was held.
