Bhopal: about 36 commercial properties sealed Bhopal City Corporation ,BMC) for tax evasion, here on Wednesday.
The BMC’s major crackdown in the state capital involves a building in MP Nagar where property tax of Rs 1.18 crore was outstanding. In all, about 36 shops were also sealed.
During the action, Kamar Saqib, officer of the encroachment branch, was assaulted. Later, BMC Commissioner KVS Choudhary visited the spot and inquired about the action taken against the culprits.
