As per registry documents accessed by Japki(dot) com, the property was registered in the names of Bhanu Chopra and Megha Chopra on February 24, and they paid Rs 6.79 crore in stamp duty for the transaction.
With the purchase, Chopra has joined the ranks of several corporate leaders who have bought properties in posh areas of Delhi.
One of the people quoted above said, “Golf Links has witnessed several transactions in the recent past, with HNIs preferring the area. Less availability of bungalows has kept the prices in check.”
Rategen declined to comment on the deal.
Recently, Shailesh Arora, director of Maxop Engineering, bought a 575 square yard bungalow in Golf Links for Rs 68.5 crore.
Earlier, Pawan Agarwal, deputy managing director of DB Group (Dainik Bhaskar), had bought a 575 square yard bungalow in the same area for Rs 75 crore.
