The official said it is expected that the law will empower the farmers of such land, who mostly belong to the economically and socially weaker sections of the society.
These tenants hold small pieces of land for many years and inherit their rights from generation to generation.
However, since they were not registered owners, they neither have access to financial institutions for loans nor relief for any natural calamity.
Now they will get all the benefits like other landowners.
This law will apply to occupiers of land who, or their predecessors in interest, have been appointed as Bhonedar, Butemar, Dohlidar, Insar Miadi, Mukarridar, Mundhimar, Panahi Kadim, Saunjidar, or Tarddadkar for a period of not less than 20 years. has been registered in Day.
“A class of occupancy tenants has already been vested with proprietary rights. However, a certain class of tenants such as Bhonedar, Butemar, Dohalidar, Insar Miadi, Mukarridar, Mundhimar, Panahi Kadim, Saunjidar, or Taradadkar may be vested with such was not vested with rights.

The law allows for the imposition of fine on the person standing on bail to secure bail in cases of serious offences, if he fails to produce the accused on the date fixed by the court, the official said.
