UP CM meets distressed Noida home buyers, assures 'complete solution'

During the 45-minute-long meeting, representatives of the Noida Extension Flat Owners’ Welfare Association (NEFOWA) apprised the chief minister of the problems, especially delay in registry, faced by lakhs of homebuyers in the region.

Nefova President Abhishek Kumar said, “We appealed to the Chief Minister that the registration of lakhs of houses is stuck for years. Home buyers are suffering because of the mistakes of the builder and the local authority.”

Kumar said lakhs of home buyers have already faced delays in getting possession of their flats and government intervention has brought some relief to them on this front.

A large number of home buyers in Greater Noida (West) under the banner of NEFOWA protested and demonstrated on weekends since last winter, highlighting their demand for possession of homes and delay in registry, he said.
