Noida:with recent Earthquake Demolition of hundreds of skyscrapers in southern Turkey, the Confederation of NCR Residents Welfare Association (CONRWA) has demanded a structural audit of all residential buildings, especially skyscrapers Delhi-NCR,
Residents Body wrote a letter to the Union Urban Development Minister on Friday Hardeep Singh Puri Stating that since the NCR falls under seismic zone 4, which is a high damage risk zone, the government should make necessary amendments to the Central Building Rules and make structural audit of all buildings mandatory before allowing occupation.
The umbrella RWA body, in its letter to the Union Minister, also demanded that the said audit should be repeated every five years.
The umbrella RWA body has sent a copy of the letter to the Prime Minister and the Chief Ministers of UP, Delhi and Haryana and the Chief Secretaries of the respective states.
