The CHB is also contemplating registration of FIRs against allottees, buyers, property dealers, deed writers, middlemen, property consultants, facilitators and financiers who are involved in illegal transactions of sale, purchase, sub-let and transfer of these flats. have been found. ,
CHB has allotted more than 18,000 flats under Rehabilitation Scheme/Small Flat Scheme/Affordable Rental Housing Scheme. Flats cannot be sold, transferred or sub-let.
The allotment was canceled after the CHB conducted a comprehensive survey of the flats during July 2022 to September 2022. Teams of CHB officials visited each such flat to see whether it was occupied only by the allottee and his family. A re-survey was also conducted during November 2022.
The survey found that out of 18,138 flats, 15,995 were found to be occupied by the original allottees, 1,117 flats were retained by others, 636 were locked. People refused to give information in 168 flats. A total of 214 were with government departments. Five were found sealed by the CHB and three were found empty.

“All the allottees under resettlement process, small flat scheme and ARHC are informed that if they do not want to occupy such flats, they can surrender their flats to the CHB, but these flats cannot be sold/sub-rented /cannot be transferred/transferred. to other persons. Also, the allottees are required to clear all their outstanding dues immediately,” Garg said.
