Now, the authorities have decided to develop a layout on 750 acres of land Bommanahalli At Yelwal Hobli in Mysuru Taluk. A total of 10,000 sites will be built. There is a mutual agreement between Muda and the farmers for the development of the layout.
MUDA president Yashasvi S Somashekar held a meeting with farmers in the village on Monday and said that MUDA has decided to fulfill the demands of the farmers who have given their land for the layout. The layout will be developed in the ratio of 50:50. He said that Muda has decided to give 50 percent of the developed sites to the landowners in exchange of their land.
The farmers said that they would give their land only if Muda would ensure completion of the project within the stipulated time. The farmers also demanded additional compensation from Muda for the delay in the project. The farmers also demanded compensation for their borewells, timber and irrigation pumps.
The Speaker promised that Rs 10 lakh would be given as incentive to farmers with more than one acre of land. He said that if the farmers give their consent letter to Muda, then Muda will start work in the next two months.
MUDA Commissioner GT Dinesh Kumar said that the decision will be taken in the general body of the MUDA and compensation will be given for the crop and agriculture pumpset in the field.
