Sharing his experience of being cheated by the promoter (developer), Singh said, “Orders were passed UP RERA against the promoter, but the project was never completed. P Tower stands unfinished like a ghostly place. There is no communication from anyone as to whether or not I will ever get my apartment.
Whereas Ramendra Kushwaha said, “UP Rare The Allottees’ Association (AOA) of RPH has been asked to complete the project with the help of another builder. The irony is that the 62 allottees of P Tower are not even part of the AOA, but it is the residents of the other 14 towers in RPH who are deciding our fate.”
There are total 18 towers in RPH.
In a written statement to TOI, Rajesh Kumar Tyagi, secretary, UP RERA, said, “After considering the request for AoA of RPH with the consent of 51 per cent allottees, we have decided to complete the remaining construction under the ‘rehabilitation’ programme.” AOA has been authorized for the same.
At present, 14 projects are being rehabilitated in UP through promoters or AoA. RPH is the first project under the rehabilitation program in Lucknow, where commercialization will be done by the builder to complete the pending projects.
Speaking to TOI, Gautam Chopra, president of the RWA of RPH, said, “The UP RERA advised us to complete the remaining work of the towers, including the P tower, with the help of another builder, so they floated a tender and Lal Jugal Kishore Constructed (LJKC). Lowest bidder for the project.
LJKC project in-charge Shekhar Mishra told TOI, “We will buy all the flats in P Tower from the allottees and complete the pending work of RPH. On Wednesday, we have held a meeting with UP RERA, LDA and AOA to discuss the roadmap for this.
