Greater NoidaResident of : la residentia in society Greater Noida West Posters with slogans were pasted on the rear windshields of cars passing out of the society on Sunday, registering their anger against the builder for non-completion of the project, lack of registry and lack of basic amenities like gym and club house.
Residents said the project, which was launched with much fanfare in 2009 with the tagline ‘Luxury within Reach’, has been marred by issues like lack of maintenance, unfinished towers and no registry to name a few.
Sumil Jalota, a resident, said, “We had planned a big protest last week, but due to the imposition of Section 144 in the district, we resorted to a silent protest on Sunday when we pasted posters with messages.”
In the absence of AoA, the project is still managed by the builder. Residents said they were promised 39 towers. “But only 1,400 residents have got possession, of which the registry has been done for only 600 flats,” Jalota said.
Another resident Abhishek Chauhan said, “There is no dedicated parking area, no club house, gymnasium or play area for children.”
While the builder is not responding to residents’ calls, society’s maintenance in-charge Pramod Mishra told TOI that he was not aware of Sunday’s protest and the lack of services due to non-payment of dues. “Rs 2.5 crore is due for maintenance services. The residents are not paying their dues,” said Mishra.
