Buyers say no flats after delay of three years, Aster Infrahomes says got OC, Real Estate News, ET Real Estate

Gurugram: K Homebuyers green court Dharna at the developer’s office on Saturday MG Road for failing to deliver their houses even after three years and making “arbitrary demands”.

The affordable housing project in Sector 90 was launched in 2015 with a time frame of four years. According to the aggrieved buyers, the developer has already taken 95% of the cost of the flat from most of the buyers but is yet to offer possession.

Further, the allottees alleged that the developer is making arbitrary demands and asking them to deposit the balance amount, threatening to charge Rs 10,000 per month for any delay, while a delay of three years does not agree to compensate buyers for.

Sangeeta Ahlawat, one of the aggrieved home buyers who booked a flat in 2015 and paid 95% of the flat, said, “Since the beginning, the project has been running behind schedule. Now, they are offering those flats Which are not ready for handover. That is, they lack facilities like sanitary fittings.”

“Moreover, the developer has threatened to impose a penalty of Rs 10,000 per month if the balance payment is not made, a clause which is not mentioned in the affordable housing policy and the builder-buyer agreement. On the contrary, they are compensating us for the delay. should.”

Other buyers pointed out that the developer has imposed additional charges for increasing the floor area for which no revised plan has been approved by the competent authority. Complaints were made to the concerned department several times, but to no avail.
