KalyaniSpecial Investigation Team (SIT) is investigating RERA scam in Kalyan-Dombivli Out of 65 developers of Kalyan-Dombivali involved in RERA scam, orders have been received to freeze the bank accounts of 40 developers.
The SIT has also asked the land revenue and other departments to stop the transfer of land or flats of these developers as the constructed building is illegal and constructed using forged documents.
An official said that the developers have sold several flats of these illegal buildings constructed in the last three years.
Most of the flats sold are yet to be constructed. Therefore, to prevent the developers from duping any other buyer, the departments have been alerted to stop the transfer of properties.
Apart from this, the SIT has also written a letter to the Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation asking them to conduct a structural audit of these 65 constructed buildings and check whether the quality of the constructed structures is good or not.
The SIT has also written to the Urban Development Department to inquire whether these buildings have been constructed on reserved plots.
