PanajiThe Public Health Department has reduced the documents required for issuance of Health NOC for construction of buildings and establishment of commercial and industrial establishments under ‘Ease of Doing Business’.
It also said that applications for NOCs that are not processed within five working days will be treated as “deemed approval”.
Public Health Department has stated that issued only by ‘Technical Clearance/Development Plan’ Town and Country Planning Department (TCP) is sufficient to issue health NOC for construction of any building, house and other structure.
It is also stated that a ‘completion order’ is sufficient for the issuance of NOC by the health department before taking over for the establishment of any commercial or industrial establishment.
Earlier, people could not build without the prior permission of the health officer or the medical officer in-charge of the health centre.
“From now on Goa-IDC need not refer to NOC from Health Department, if ‘Technical Clearance/Development Plan’ has already been submitted by the applicant concerned, in case of approval for construction and possession of ‘Completed Order’ ’, the circular issued by Under Secretary Health Gautami Paramaker said.
“All applications for issuance of health NOC should be processed and NOC issued within five working days failing which it shall be deemed to have been accepted,” the circular said.
The government has said that it will review the order issued after six months.
