It has written to 13 district collectors to ensure that duped home buyers get the compensation promised by the regulator over the years.
The 13 districts where MahaRERA has been requested include Mumbai City, Mumbai Suburban, Thane, PuneRaigarh, Palghar, Aurangabad, Nagpur, NashikChandrapur, Sindhudurg, Satara and Ratnagiri, it said.
Compensation has been given for deficiencies such as non-handing over of possession within the stipulated time, abandonment of a project or poor quality of construction, according to the statement.
