Gurugram: A group of home buyers Supertech Basera Residents gathered at the project site in Sector 79 on Sunday and staged a protest against the delay in delivery of their flats.
The affordable housing project was launched in 2015 and buyers were promised possession by 2020. However, till date the developer has offered partial possession of only two towers, while the remaining 13 towers are only 50% constructed.
According to homebuyers, the affordable housing project has 1,976 flats across 15 towers. Ashish Soni, one of the homebuyers said, “The project is getting delayed by three years. Most of us have paid 100% to the developer and now feel cheated. Soni said, “We are losing all our hope of getting our flats at the earliest as the developer has no intention of completing the project.”
“I had booked a flat in 2015 and was supposed to get it by 2020, but now I don’t know when I will be able to move into my house. We have filed a complaint on CM Window, contacted the concerned authorities to expedite the project, but to no avail. Now we are left with no option but to protest,” said Ravinder Singh, another buyer.
“Possessions are going on regularly in Basera and flats are being handed over every week. The buyers are being updated regularly on the construction progress. After the NGT stay on the construction, now the construction is in full swing. All the flats will be delivered in the next 12 months. Mohit AroraMD, supertech,
