Gurugram: K Homebuyers Expressway Tower has sought a structural and forensic audit of the Sector 109 affordable housing project, to which the Department of Town and Country Planning (DCP)DTCP) to convene a meeting of developers and investors on December 6 to discuss the issues.
Despite no work at the site for the last one-and-a-half years, the residents have alleged that the builder has raised a demand and threatened to cancel the units if the money is not paid.
The project was launched on seven acres of land in 2017 with a time frame of four years. But till now only 60 percent work has been done. Presently no work is going on at the site and most of the homebuyers have paid almost 90% of the cost of the flat.
Col. Naveen Hooda, representing the home buyers, said, “Overall the quality of construction work is very poor. Furthermore, the structure of the buildings has weakened over time. We demand structural audit of buildings as well as forensic audit of money collected from allottees.
