“The total target is to construct 7,06,290 houses, of which 3,68,177 houses have been sanctioned, and of which 68,177 houses have been completed. Construction of 1,19,090 houses is at various stages. , while the construction of 1,77,868 houses has not started yet. The construction of 3,042 houses is stalled due to various reasons,” said Zameer Ahmed Khan.
At the same time, a target of 1,05,267 houses has been set in PM Awas Yojana and Chief Minister Awas Yojana, out of which 99,218 houses have been approved and 10,148 houses have been completed. The minister said that 60,277 houses are in various stages of construction, while work on 28,793 houses is yet to begin.
He further said that out of total 8,11,557 houses targeted, work orders have been issued for 4,67,395 beneficiaries.
“A total of 78,325 houses in Category A have been completed, while progress is at various stages for 1,79,367 houses. The remaining 2,06,661 houses are pending for completion. 3,042 houses blocked due to lack of interest from beneficiaries And for various reasons,” he explained.
He said that a total of Rs 3,961.01 crore has been allocated for both the schemes.
