All the five properties are spread over 13,293 sq ft across two floors in the under-construction commercial project Signature by realty developer Veer Savarkar Projects.
Three of these offices are on the 16th floor with a built-up area of 8,404 sq ft, while the other two properties spread over 4,893 sq ft are on the 17th floor of the commercial tower.
Apart from office space, the buyer will get exclusive access to a total of 14 car parking slots in the building.
Devgan has paid a total stamp duty of over Rs 2.7 crore for both the transactions that were finalized in April. Documents accessed show deals were registered on April 18 and 19 CRE Matrix,
Devgan’s company Ajay Devgan FFilms and developer Veer Savarkar Projects did not respond to separate email queries from ET.
Real estate continues to be one of the most preferred investments for high net worth individuals. Bollywood celebrities are also picking up properties not only for their own use but also as investment.
Several Bollywood actors, producers and directors have invested in properties, including Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Shilpa Shetty, Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai. Several deals of high-end luxury properties by Ranveer Singh, Hrithik Roshan, Rani Mukerji, Alia Bhatt, Disha Patani and Janhvi Kapoor have come to the fore in the past few quarters.
In late 2020, Devgn himself bought a 5,100 sq ft bungalow in Mumbai’s posh Juhu area for Rs 47.5 crore, for which he also took a loan of Rs 18.75 crore.
Mumbai, the country’s largest and costliest property market, has witnessed a sustained strong momentum in real estate sales despite rising mortgage rates and property prices as consumer sentiment towards home buying remains strong.
