Navi Mumbai, CIDCO has recently allotted 46 plots to Project Affected Persons (PAPs) Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA).
in the computerized draw held at the headquarter of CIDCO CBD Belapur46 plots, of which 23 are under the Rehabilitation and Resettlement (R&R) scheme, and 23 under the 22.5% compensation scheme, have been allotted to villagers who had given up their land for the construction of the airport.
CIDCO is developing the NMIA on 1,160 hectares by acquiring land from 10 revenue villages in Panvel taluka of Raigad district. Villagers have been evicted from their ancestral houses and shifted to rented houses.
At least 3,000 project-affected families have been offered a rehabilitation package and other benefits by CIDCO under the 22.5% scheme approved by the state government.
Adjacent to Pushpak Nagar Node Ulwe Has been developed for the rehabilitation of PAP. Land owners got Rs 1,000 per sq ft to construct their new houses on the allotted plots, paid Rs 500 per sq ft as rent for 18 months, Rs 36,000 paid in one-time as special assistance and Rs.1,24,500 was paid. One-time agricultural compensation to those who leave their agricultural land. CIDCO has also paid transport allowance of Rs 50,000 to each PAP.
