Jaipur: The JMC-Greater The administration on Monday gave the first installment of Rs 30,000 to 110 beneficiaries under the PM Awas Yojana (Urban) for construction of new houses.

Saumya GurjarMayor of JMC-Greater said, “Once the construction of the houses is completed, all the beneficiaries should name their house after their daughter, because if the daughters progress, then only the society will progress.”

Officials said that so far 132 beneficiaries have been selected by JMC-Greater for the scheme and the first installment will be given to the remaining 22 beneficiaries after the approval of the formalities.

House meeting today

The JMC-Greater General Body will meet after a month on Tuesday to discuss the resolutions that could not be passed in the previous meeting.

In the last meeting held on May 25, all the proposals included in the agenda could not be discussed due to scuffle and sloganeering among the councillors.

Last week, Deputy Mayor -Puneet Karnawat had written a letter to the Mayor urging him to add 16 points to the agenda of the meeting. These include cleaning of drains, renaming of roads, improving garbage collection and pending payments for old projects.
