In a letter to the developer, DTP Yadav directed the builder to pay shifting charges to the residents of three towers – D, E and F – who want to shift without giving consent to option I or II proposed by the developer.
Under option I, Chintels has offered the residents of towers D, E and F an all-inclusive compensation of Rs 6,500 per sqft, including the cost of interior work, as well as a refund of the stamp duty amount paid by them. As a second option, Chintels has offered to repair and/or rebuild the towers based on the recommendations of CBRI,
In his letter, Yadav said that a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Nishant Yadav on May 3 to discuss various issues related to towers D, E and F. Chintels Paradiso, In the meeting, the developer was instructed to comply with the decision taken in the meeting and submit the compliance report to the DC office. Besides this, it also directed the developer to pay the shifting charges to the residents who want to shift without giving consent for either of the two options.
However, it has come to the notice of the Committee that there is some ambiguity among the residents of the concerned towers regarding payment under Option I. In this connection it is informed that the developer will have to pay a cost of Rs.6,500 per sq. ft. (super area). Interior finalized by the committee, actual stamp duty, shifting charges and rent till full/final payment of the flat to the owners opting for Option I.
Yadav further stated that the developer has been informed that the decision/direction given in the meeting is approved by the committee and accordingly he has been directed to comply with the decision and submit the progress report before the committee every 15 days.
“We have always stood by our customers and will always do what we can to serve their best interests,” said a developer spokesperson.
